rPath, an innovator in automating application deployment and maintenance, today announced it will be at conferences in November to promote rPath release automation solutions for the enterprise. Next month, rPath will be at the following conferences:
- LISA ‘09 – the 23rd Large Installation System Administration Conference to be held November 1–6, 2009, at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront in Baltimore, Maryland. rPath is a conference sponsor and will be exhibiting in booth #308.
- The 2nd Annual Linux Foundation End User Summit to be held November 9–10, 2009, at the Hyatt Regency Jersey City on the Hudson in Jersey City, New Jersey. An event sponsor, rPath will also be exhibiting at the conference.
At both shows, rPath will exhibit the industry’s first fully version controlled release automation solution for reducing the time, cost and risk associated with system deployment and maintenance. rPath personnel will be on hand to discuss the role of release automation for:
- Zero-latency, low-overhead system provisioning and maintenance
- Ensuring compliance of system provisioning and maintenance processes
- Enabling self-service IT initiatives with automated application delivery
- Reigning in VM sprawl, optimizing VM density and cloud-enabling applications
- Taking the pain out of provisioning and maintaining customized OS and middleware
rPath will also highlight Project Javelin, its strategy and roadmap for complete automation and control over creation, deployment and maintenance of enterprise IT systems—business service, application and enabling software, and configuration data—managed together under strong version control. Described at “The Future of System Automation,” Project Javelin is a simple, lightweight alternative to today's costly and cumbersome data center automation solutions.
